Felt is an ancient and primitive material which has found contemporary uses in an extraordinary range of fields, including product design, fashion, architecture, and home furnishings. Published in conjunction with a major exhibition at the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, Fashioning Felt explores felt’s rich nomadic and industrial history and presents innovative handmade and commercially produced designs that display felt’s tactile appeal and versatility.
