Martin Mazorra and Mike Houston are Cannonball Press. They will be in Johannesburg for a collaboration with David Krut Projects and Oppikoppi Productions culminating in an exhibition in our project space. During their stay, DKW will be hosting a workshop on woodblock printing with Cannonball and resident printmakers Jillian Ross, Niall Bingham and Mlungisi Kongisa.

Dates:
Saturday 4 Aug at 10am – 12pm: Introduction to Cannonball, DKW and woodblock carving techniques
(Artists take their blocks away to work on for a week)

Monday 13 Aug: Artists return to the studio to print with Cannonball and DKW

Tues 14 Aug: Artists print in studio with Cannonball and DKW

Wed 15 Aug: All works to be completed

Thurs 16 Aug: Opening of Cannonball Press & South African Friends exhibition at David Krut Projects at 6:30pm
The works created during the workshop to be included.
