Bronwen Findlay opening at David Krut Projects
27th May 2008 | Other items by Fiona Pender |
Saturday’s opening of Floating and Falling, the latest exhibition of works by Bronwen Findlay was a great success. The gallery was full as art enthusiasts came to see Findlay’s latest experimental monotypes and enormous paintings. Clive Van den Berg opened the exhibition and spoke beautifully about the work and Bronwen herself. Jockingly describing her work as ‘lacking in perspective’, Van den Berg went on to explain that Findlay’s paintings begin with touch and she succesfully creates works which are about the here and now and suspend the viewer in a moment. The exhibition runs until the 16th of June at our gallery space at 142 Jan Smuts avenue, Parkwood. |
