Penny Siopis at David Krut Publishing Fine Art and Books, Cape Town

We are pleased to present a series of ten prints by Penny Siopis relating to a larger body of work by the artist, which included paintings and installations based on the idea and experience of ‘shame’ as both a public phenomenon and a psychological condition. This series of prints images ‘shame’ as an amalgam of figural and textual forms and, rather than conveying a specific narrative, attempts to register emotion by way of image associations.

Cape Town Book Fair 2007: More News and Pictures

Synonymous with log fires and red wine, Cape Town in June is also known for the buzz of the annual Book Fair. Taking place at the impressive Cape Town International Conference Centre, it is a much anticipated event on the cities calendar, and Johannesburg-based David Krut Publishing has had a booth at both years of the Fair’s existence with David and Bronwyn Law Viljoen, Managing Editor of David Krut Publishing in attendance.
