David Krut Publishing seeks to encourage writing on the arts in South Africa. We have engaged writers for our numerous book projects, including the Taxi Art series, and have developed the Taxi Writing Course to encourage young arts writers and critics.

SKILL SET: Knowledge Resource and Educational Series is a new multi-volume series for specialised design disciplines. Using a practicable, outcomes-based approach, Skill Set will provide instruction in various fields of design, including graphic design, stage design, fashion design and industrial design.

Skill Set will feature locally relevant content, as well as commentary and work by leading local design professionals. The series is aimed at a broad audience that includes learners at secondary schools and tertiary institutions, as well as emerging and experienced professionals.

Justin Fox- Biography and Reviews on his latest book

Justin Fox is a travel writer and photographer for Getaway magazine. He was a Rhodes Scholar and received a doctorate in English literature from Oxford University (1995) after which he was a research fellow at the University of Cape Town, where he now teaches part time.

Body Map Artists Visits DK Arts

Ncedeka, who hails from Cofimvaba in the Eastern Cape is living with the HIV virus but is not letting it stand in the way of her living her life and enjoying being alive. Ncedeka is one of the thirteen women and men who were part of the Body Map initiative that drew its members from Medical Sans Frontiers (MSF).

When she arrived at David Krut Arts Resource to sign her canvases of the body map she created at the time of the project there was an immediate air of festivity. She charmed the DK team with her beautiful smile, open face and peaceful personality.
