Design duo Strangelove hosted a Walkabout last Thursday evening at David Krut Projects, to coincide with the closing of their exhibition. This informal event allowed Carlo and Ziemek to discuss not only the work on show, but how it relates to various collaborations they have been involved in.

Several collaborative projects were discussed, as working with other people is an important part of Strangelove’s development. This included a video of a performance using one of the pieces in the exhibition, and an animation created from working with French artists.

They also explained the making processes behind some of their pieces, which was fascinating as Strangelove often produce each piece, from concept to creation, without any reference material.

Printer Jillian Ross talked about her involvement with Strangelove in producing the series of prints, which were printed especially for this exhibition. She discussed their collaboration as well as details of the printing processes involved in creating the works, and the possibilities which could be explored in creating more prints.

The evening was very interesting, and brought a whole new dimension to what has been a very successful show.
