Cannonball Press Arrives at DK Arts in Johannesburg!

Woodblock Workshop at DKW with New York based Cannonball Press

Martin Mazorra and Mike Houston are Cannonball Press. They will be in Johannesburg for a collaboration with David Krut Projects and Oppikoppi Productions culminating in an exhibition in our project space. During their stay, DKW will be hosting a workshop on woodblock printing with Cannonball and resident printmakers Jillian Ross, Niall Bingham and Mlungisi Kongisa.

Pre-Oppikoppi festival event with Waddy Jones

Waddy Jones is a musician-artist who is the front man for the band Max Normal.TV. Primarily known as a musician, Waddy has exhibited his Japanese comics inspired paintings and furry animals with great success in Cape Town. Oppikoppi chose Waddy’s dassie as its unlikely mascot for the 2007 festival. We have invited Waddy to produce his dassies in the David Krut Projects space from 1 – 8 August as a pre-festival performance.

Cannonball Press and Oppikoppi update

The countdown begins! Cannonball Press will be arriving at OR Tambo International in less than four weeks.
