Art Bank Joburg, in partnership with David Krut Print Workshop (DKW) and Brendan Copestake, is off to an early start with a printmaking workshop that was launched on 10 Jan 2007.

Lawrence Lemaoana, Mary Sibande, Ellen Papciak-Rose, Karin Preller and Stompie Selebi were selected to participate in the two-day workshop. Most of these artists do not specialise in printmaking and so creating monotypes under the guidance of printmaker Jillian Ross presented them with an interesting challenge. The artists were encouraged to express their personal conceptual concerns and individuality whilst exploring various printmaking processes.
